Chillicothe Public Library District’s StoryWalk®, in collaboration with the Chillicothe Park District and Owens Design Group Ltd, will be returning to a new location on May 1st. The new StoryWalk® will be featured at Santa Fe Park (1400 N Benedict St, Chillicothe, IL 61523).

The StoryWalk® is a refreshing way for people of all ages to practice literacy skills and healthy exercise habits by walking a short path while following along with a story. Both children and adults can read all 16 panels to finish the story while enjoying the beauty of nature and enhancing health and literacy. The StoryWalk® is free to the public and available to access during Santa Fe Park hours.

The StoryWalk® for the month of May will feature “Lola Plants a Garden,” written by Anna McQuinn, illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw, and published by Penguin Random House. Lola loves to read, and she becomes inspired to plant her own garden after reading a nursery rhyme. Check out the StoryWalk® to find out what she plants!

Please take a minute to provide feedback on the StoryWalk® by taking this short survey!
