Chillicothe Public Library hosts blood drives with both the Red Cross and ImpactLife (formerly Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center).
- Blood drives are spaced so that if you donate whole blood at one drive, you should be eligible again by the next drive. (See schedule below.)
- Caution: The electronic records for both organizations are not synced, so if you choose to donate with both organizations, you will need to keep track of the date and type of your last donation, so as not to donate too frequently.
- If you would rather stick with a single organization for your blood donations, that’s fine. On off-months, you are welcome to find another drive affiliated with your chosen organization or visit their donation center.
For Red Cross drives: To make an appointment, click here or call 1-800-733-2767. You can save up to 15 minutes when you donate blood by using RapidPass to complete your pre-reading and donation questions online. Find out more at redcrossblood.org/RapidPass.
