Smart Investing Van!

The Smart Investing Van is coming to the library on Saturday, July 26th from 9-12!"Public libraries have always been a valuable source of information for the communities of Central Illinois and we are pleased to be able to help them expand their offerings in the area of investor education," said ALA President Loriene Roy. "Whether choosing what type of saving plan makes most sense for a family, researching potential stock investment or learning more about bank products, public libraries offer the needed resources to help its patrons make smart investing decisions."

The "Smart investing @ your library(R)" is being administered jointly by the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA), a division of the ALA, and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation (formerly known as the NASD Investor Education Foundation). The program supports public libraries in their efforts to meet investor education and protection needs at the community level.  For more information on the project and dates of events, check out the website HERE

Front Lobby

The Chillicothe Historical Society has a very interesting and informative display in the library's front lobby.  Interested in the history of our community?  Want to know more about who was who, where, what and when?  Visit the library or contact the Historical Society to satisfy your curiousity.
In partnership with the local business, the display case in the front lobby is available to inform the community of the many different services right here in Chillicothe. If you are interested in using the display, please contact Susan Drissi. Some rules and restrictions apply.
