"If you will protest courageously, and yet with dignity and Christian love, when the history books are written in future generations, the historians will have to pause and say, There lived a great people-a black people-who injected new meaning and dignity into the veins of civilization."

—Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-68) African-American reverend, civil rights leader

We no longer have the Chicago Tribune

You may have wondered why CPLD is no longer receiving the Chicago Tribune each day. According to the newspaper service, the Chicago Tribune will no longer be delivered to homes, libraries, bookstores, or other community locations south of I-80. Mail subscriptions are still available for the Chicago Tribune, but that means the newspaper will arrive one or two days after publication.

We still offer all of our other newspapers, including The Peoria Journal Star, USA today, Chillicothe Independent, Chillicothe Times Bulletin, and Barrons.
