Public Meeting Room Reminder

As many of you know, our Public Meeting Room is a great place for Birthday Parties, Baby and Bridal Showers, Business Meetings and MUCH more.

Unfortunately the Public Meeting Room will not be available to rent this summer between July 1st - Sept 11th.

Instead the Chillicothe Public Library will be hosting the Visions of the Universe Exibit!

Visions of the Universe: Four Centuries of Discovery

Opening at the Chillicothe Public Library District (CPLD) on July 6, 2009!            "Visions of the Universe: Four Centuries of Discovery" is presented by the Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, Maryland; the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, Massachusetts; and the American Library Association, Chicago, Illinois, through funding from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.  CPLD is the receipient of a grant sponsoring the program's visit.   
            The Chillicothe Public Library District is offering exciting programs and other events in connection with the exhibit.  Please call        (309) 274-2719       or CLICK HERE  for more details. 

On July 14 at 6 PM, we are doing the egg toss off the roof of the Library. This is an all ages event and we are going to see what the best packing material is and who's eggs survive the drop with out breaking. Click Here To Sign Up For The Egg Toss

On July 21 at 2 PM, Stacy Shrewsbury from the Challenger Learning Center in Bloomington Illinois will be here discussing what astronauts do in space and what they eat and things like that. Click Here To Sign Up For This Event

And on August 6 at 6 PM we will be making a Telescope and a Star Finder. Sign up is limited so sign up early! This is an all ages event. Click Here To Sign Up

All programs are open to the public and there is no admission charge.  Donations are always welcome.
