Material Donations

The Chillicothe Public Library accepts book donations during regular business hours. We would appreciate a phone call ahead of time if you plan on bringing in any donations. We do not accept encyclopedias, text books, National Geographic, or any books that are musty, moldy or torn.

Tax receipts are available upon request. Books or materials not used in library proper are sold at the book sale or on our for sale shelf in the library.

Monetary Donations

Monitary donations are always welcomed and much appreciated. These include endowments, memorials, book dedications and trusts.

The Caterpillar Foundation contributes to communities - especially our community.  If you are a Caterpillar employee or retiree, any monitary donation that you make to the Chillicothe Public Library will be matched by the Caterpillar Foundation.  So, $10 becomes $20 - $50 becomes $100 and up and up and up.  Consider making a matching donation to the Chillicothe Public Library.  Your money stays in our community, which in turn, benefits our community.  For more information, ask your employer or the library's director.
